So after spending the last couple of months exploring our "Why" -- both Journey's and our own -- we are now turning to the "How." What are our gifts, spiritual and otherwise? What are the tools we have to build the "How" for our "Why"? Let's take inventory together.

Many Gifts, One Sandlot

So after spending the last couple of months exploring our "Why" -- both Journey's and our own -- we are now turning to the "How." What are our gifts, spiritual and otherwise? What are the tools we have to build the "How" for our "Why"? Let's take inventory together.

Administering and Welcoming

We begin our exploration of spiritual gifts with the behind-the-scenes gifts. (Bones Ministry, anyone?) Let’s celebrate this part of how God’s Good Stuff gets done.

Discernment and Knowledge

You may have heard it said that knowledge is power. This week, we continue our exploration of spiritual gifts by digging into what we know and how we know it. Let’s celebrate this part of how God’s Good Stuff gets done.

Helping and Giving

It's better to give than to receive, or so they say. This week, we continue our exploration of spiritual gifts by creating Friend Bags to share with our homeless brothers and sisters as an act of worship. Let’s celebrate this part of how God’s Good Stuff gets done.

Teaching and Tongues

We can't always understand things in our lives without a little help. This week, we continue our exploration of spiritual gifts by looking at how God sends us messages in ways we can understand. Let’s celebrate this part of how God’s Good Stuff gets done.

Exhortation and Faith

So how much faith does a mustard seed really have? This week, we continue our exploration of spiritual gifts by looking at the concepts of exhortation and faith. It may sound fancy, but actually it’s just doing Jesus stuff together. Let's plant some seeds...

Prophecy and Evangelism

This week, we continue our exploration of spiritual gifts by looking at the concepts of prophecy and evangelism. Does a prophet have to be all raggedy and eating locusts? What does a modern day prophet look like? Also, many of us have a very particular idea of what evangelism is. What if we just consider its literal meaning as the giving of good news? Let's dig into that.

Healing, Mercy, and Miracles

At Journey, we often say we are healed to be healers. This week, we continue our exploration of spiritual gifts by looking at the concepts of healing, mercy, and miracles. 'Cuz healing and mercy go together like the miracle of chocolate and peanut butter.

Celebration and Gratitude

As we wrap up our exploration of spiritual gifts, we celebrate all the gifts. Come join the party.

Happy New Year

Today we celebrate the start of new things – not on January 1, but at the beginning of school, the end of summer, and the start of Journey's fiscal and ministry year. Let’s commemorate the old, welcome the new, and be in the Now together.
