The Heart Ministry fulfills the needs of the organization for fellowship and sharing. This includes the Pastoral Care, Picnics, Fred Groups, Hospital Team,  Koinonia, and the JourneyMen.

Everyone desires to belong and to matter. Our community provides love, acceptance, forgiveness, and healing to one another and to those we encounter. We spend time together and support each other We strive to know each other and to see God in each other. We continue to learn how to be more loving and more caring. You are encouraged to build connections with other people at Journey and beyond. You are included and important to us.

Women's Ministries

Koinonia

This Fall we are reading and discussing the book, "The Dance of the Dissident Daughter" by Sue Monk Kidd.  It is the story of a woman who was raised in a religiously conservative household in the South where women were to be submissive and supportive.  She then married a conservative Southern pastor.  As she matured, something inside of her began to awake about her own feminine power and her identity as a woman.  This is the story of that awakening. 

 Koinonia meets every 1st & 3rd Monday of the month.  The Daytime group meets from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm and the Evening group meets from 6:30-8:00 pm (both groups meet at the Warehouse).  All women are invited to join us!  If you have any questions, contact Leslie Diamond at leslie@journeyifc.com.

Peregrinati

The Young Women's Group, named Peregrinati, is for any women ages 18-30ish.  We meet the 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month at the Warehouse from 7:30-9:00 pm.  The roots of the word Peregrinati are in Latin, Italian and Celtic.  It is the word for a pilgrimage, a journey, or wandering.  The Celtic Peregrinati is a wandering that is not aimless, but is actually an intentional journey that is spiritually lead.  Contact Leslie Diamond ifyou’d like more information (leslie@journeyifc.com).

The Journey Men's Group gathers every 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening (7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) for some down-time, laughs, support, prayer and spiritual conversation. We are currently meeting in the Journey Warehouse.

 

Men's Retreats
